Peridot mentioned her new blog so I went off to check it out. It’s a brand new blog where she explores various aspects of the Tarot. I was very impressed with this blog! And I found a spread she created that I thought I’d highlight over here. Continue reading “SPREAD: This Life’s Spotlight by Peridot”
Saturday I visited James Wells blog. I did not mention this spread because I wanted to do it and share it here. I found this on Evolutionary Tarot. He did his own and encouraged others to try it out for themselves as well. Here is my reading for myself.
I did this with the World Spirit Tarot. It was a very interesting spread. I am quivering at the edge Continue reading “SPREAD: James Wells Bias Spread”
Why is this a blogue, not a blog? It’s just an old-fashioned touch that harkens back to less-hurried (and harried) times, when a letter took a while to get delivered, and a reply took a while longer. When books were savored for their precious rarity. When news came in slowly for the most part and could be thoughtfully considered. A rapid-fire flow of constant info-junk tends to make me twitchy. When you visit my blogue, I invite you to take a nice deep breath, absorb things a little at a time, wander in a serendipitous fashion, and generally remember that even in the ultra-speedy world of the Internet, you control the pace of your life.
And this is a lovely introduction to a fabulous spot on the Internet. Lunaea shares Continue reading “Other Blogs: Lunea Weatherstone’s Blogue: At Brigid’s Forge”
Mary K Greer presented a new spread. The Potent Self Spread caught my eye for two reasons.
- It was designed to be introspective. I gravitate towards that type of spread.
- It dealt with reversals. I’ve been asked quite a bit recently about how to read reversals. (That blog is coming up soon, promise!)
The premise is to help you find what is blocking your potential potency. What lessens you and what you can gain from growth. I am paraphrasing greatly here. What I want to talk about Continue reading “SPREAD: The Potent Self Spread by Mary K Greer”
First as a child, I dreamt of unicorns and dragons and witches and princesses thanks to these tales my mother read me. As I grew older, I revisited them from a feminist perspective and found them to be lacking. But now that I am older, I find myself back at the doorstep of the old story teller again. And this time, I am looking at them with a more discerning eye. I am looking for the lessons that I see in them and pulling those lessons out to transform them into tarot spreads. Continue reading “Spread: Mirror, Mirror”
I like spreads that are versatile. That can adapt to other situations. The poly spread is different from the “which lover do I choose” one by one card. It’s an in-depth spread as well. Continue reading “Spread Versatility”
Recently I responded to another author’s journal about “Why Do YOU Write?. She responded. I responded back. One of the things that came out of that back and forth was this
Sometimes I wonder… if we have muses, if we don’t also have enemies of our muse. Those thought patterns that continually try to tear us down. In Tarot reading, I call these “old tapes” and they seem to be related to our own feelings of inadequacies that are usually (not always, but usually) fed by our own dark selves.
Then I said, “Hmmm…and now I am seeing a need for a Tarot spread that answers the question “Am I Killing My Own Muse”. Well FINE! Lol. I guess now I have a mission.”
Killing My Muse creation detailed here. I set the timer to post it at 12:01am MST 6/4/2008 so if you are up late (coughjazaileencough), you may have to wait a bit.
One unique problem in a polyamourous relationship is the idea of adding someone to an established family. Whether that is a family of 2 or more, the addition of even one more will add to and take away from the dynamics of that group. I looked for a spread that might be used for this, but found none. Then someone asked a similar question on Aeclectic Tarot. So I dove in to design a spread to address this question of what do we need to do when we add someone.
You can see the results on my blog, Musings On The Tarot. And feel free to pass this announcement on to any poly folk who also might be interested.
