Joy, Rachel Pollack & Workshops

I do love being a joy seeker, but there are times when it is hard. Times when I want to just wallow in feeling blue or rage against the machine that seems to run the world I have to live in. I have never claimed that being a professional joy seeker is easy. And I never will.

I will claim Continue reading “Joy, Rachel Pollack & Workshops”

Character Reading: Matt Lawrence

Today, I’m doing a reading for a Harlequin American Romance (TM) hero. Matt Lawrence takes a leading role in Barbara White Daille‘s sweet, contemporary romance Family Matters. I really enjoyed getting to know Matt and can’t wait to read his story. I think someone is leading him a merry chase.

From Barbara’s bio:

Originally from the East Coast, award-winning author Barbara White Daille now lives with her husband in the warm, sunny Southwest, where they love the dry heat and have taken up square dancing.

From the time she was a toddler, Barbara found herself fascinated by those things her mom called “books.” Once she learned the words between the covers held the magic of storytelling, she wanted to see her words in print so she could weave that spell for others.

Now let’s visit with Matt to find out what he thinks of his reading. Continue reading “Character Reading: Matt Lawrence”

Character Reading: Anya Kalinczyk

Today’s reading is for Anya Kalinczyk who is a Virgo. She’s the heroine of Laura Bickle’s hot new Urban Fantasy. And by hot I’m not talking sex this time. I do need to disclose that I have read (and loved) Embers which is the first in this series. The second, Sparks, is just out. I hope you will try this series out. There’s a lot to love about it. Besides, who can’t love a large salamander-puppy that makes you look like you are talking to yourself?

Her bio states “Laura Bickle has worked in the unholy trinity of politics, criminology, and technology for several years. She and her chief muse live in the Midwest, owned by four mostly-reformed feral cats.”

I hope you enjoy this chat with her heroine, Anya.

And don’t miss the giveaway at the end. Continue reading “Character Reading: Anya Kalinczyk”

Paths, Smuggling and Missing Things

Recently I saw the title of a book that simply intrigued me. It made me want to find the book. I have not yet bought this book, but I will own it. Part of what attracted me was the word “snail” in the title. See, lately I’ve learned to pay attention to my path because of snails. I know that sounds odd, but let me explain.
