Today’s card is from a favorite oracle of mine. I will be chatting with PA Minnell, the creatrix of the Maori Oracle, tonight on You Never Know.
Kaikomako is a type of tree that grows in New Zealand. It is used by the Maori people to start fires. I read up on this tree a bit and was interested to learn that the young tree looks very different from the adult.
That’s not so unusual in the mammal world, is it? How often have you grabbed a baby picture and not been sure who it was until you turned it over? I remember a conversation with my mother and aunt where they were trying to decide which children were in a picture. It was finally decided that it was myself and a girl cousin–but I don’t think they were positive of that. ๐
Go back ten years in your life. Think about who you were with, where you were, what you were doing. Who did you depend on then? Who do you depend on now? How has your family changed? How have you changed?
Honor that journey, y’all. You are handling it…even when it feels like you aren’t, you are handling it.
Join me at 10pm EST (4pm New Zealand time) tonight. Polli will be sharing her thoughts on Maori culture and more. She might even be convinced to do a reading or two!

Seek joy, y’all. Pass it on.
