When I was thinking about pursuing certification (and I still circle back to this every now and again), one of the steps included writing a meditation or a poem for each of the 22 Majors. Using the Rider-Waite Smith, I employed my 9Words Poetry Challenge method.
This is the index of my Major Arcana poetry project. When I was thinking about pursuing certification (and I still circle back to this every now and again), one of the steps included writing a meditation or a poem for each of the 22 Majors. Using the Rider-Waite Smith, I employed my 9Words Poetry Challenge method. Here are the links to the completed poems and the place holders for the remaining ones. Justice was done twice. Not for any reason other than the fact that I was not paying attention.
I’ve been linking Tarot cards to food for a while. This is an index for those that would like an at-a-glance view of the recipes.
So, I’ve been linking cards to food for a while. This is an index of my Tarot and Food project for those that would like an at-a-glance view of the recipes. I will be updating this as I add posts. Each recipe contains my reasoning for the card I choose. If you have any questions, I hope you will contact me. This is one of my favorite projects.
Now I have to make that next step and stop worrying about her. Stop caring that she appears to be committing some type of public social Hari-Kari ritual. I won’t be a part of her crazy any more.
As I dressed for work today, I put on what I call Romany Reader Rags. Basically I put on the costume of what folks tend to expect a Tarot psychic to look like. I put on my black wrap dress then added a pink pashmini shawl around my waist, a purple crochet long vest, an Indian scarf for my hair and a huge squash blossom necklace. Very Hollywood and certainly a far cry from authentic.
So why am I nattering on about the 10 of Earth and the 9 of Fire so much? Well, you see…I’ve done something a bit crazy. I’ve joined with two other people to rent an office. It’s actually something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time but have never taken that Fool’s Leap. The Universe is delivering some unexpected blessings, that’s for sure.
What do I need to know about for tonight?
This was my focus. I tried to focus on what do I need to know for the day, but since I’m at work for eight hours, I pretty much know what the deal will be here. I don’t know what I need to focus on for this evening.
On my skin it’s very light and breezy. Not what I normally choose to wear but I really liked it. Still have a peppery/spicy tone to it…I guess this is what makes it sharp in the tonal quality. I keep sniffing myself trying to remember where I smelled this before, then it hit me.
Above her the Pleaides rise, those dancing Seven Sisters who symbolize our heart’s home. Behind her is the celestial stream between Heaven and Earth, known as the Milky Way, where pilgrims travel from one realm to the next. Beside her the Kingfisher reminds us of the halcyon days of peace and plenty. With our inner ear, we hear a voice proclaim: “I am the Soul of Nature, which gives Life to the Universe. From me all things proceed, and to me all things shall return.” More than anything, the Star Goddess represents grace, a divine connection that is unearned and freely granted.

So I’m blessed to know the parfumer from Esscentual Alchemy. She and I are members of the Gaian Circle. I’ve reviewed all of her Gaian Tarot perfumes so far. This is another of those reviews. I was so excited Continue reading “The Tarot Nose: The Star”
Someone said they saw this as the one thing we didn’t want to hear because it was the furthest away from us. That hit me in a game-changing way. I mean think about it.
Do you do a daily draw or pick a card each morning? I don’t always, but I do advocate for it. I think it does two things that are good in for Tarot enthusiasts.
One, you cannot help but become more familiar with your cards. It’s a more intimate way to connect with them because it forces you to dig more deeply into the cards. Sometimes in a full spread, you tend to skim over the cards that you would rather not know more about. I see it as an avoidance technique. I’m very very good at it. Are you?
Two, for me, it gives me a focus for the day. I use it for what I should think about that day rather than what will happen. Now don’t get me wrong. I am not one who says Tarot is not for divination. Of course it is for divination. Continue reading “Gunpowder, Gasoline & Napalm”
