They put out a call for doing readings on the Oscars. So here is my reading. I thought about pulling a certain group of cards out with one being the star but I couldn’t figure out how to do that. So I went with what I know. Shuffle 78 cards. Draw one for each entry in the category. Interpret and pick a winner. Repeat for all the categories.

In 2009, I started doing my predictions for the top 10 on American Idol. In my first post on this, I predicted “We may have a dark horse here” about winner Kris Allen. You can see all of my predictions here.

Traditionally this card shows someone leaving somewhere. They’ve obviously been on a long journey to get to this point. Often I see sadness in this card because of the fact that even when you leave troubled times, there is still emotional attachment.
So I just watched last night’s American Idol. So disappointed to see two of my favorites go. I know this is where it starts hurting more because I’ve invested emotions in these singers. So last year, I decided to be more playful with my cards. One of the things I did was to do a reading on who would win last year’s American Idol. I pulled a card for all top ten finalists. And no, this is not an April’s Fool joke although I do love those!
