SPREAD: The Potent Self Spread by Mary K Greer


Mary K Greer presented a new spread. The Potent Self Spread caught my eye for two reasons.

  1. It was designed to be introspective. I gravitate towards that type of spread.
  2. It dealt with reversals. I’ve been asked quite a bit recently about how to read reversals. (That blog is coming up soon, promise!)

Spread: Mirror, Mirror

I have launched a project for myself that I am calling the Fairy Tale Spreads. I have long had a fascination and appreciation for fairy tales.

First as a child, I dreamt of unicorns and dragons and witches and princesses thanks to these tales my mother read me. As I grew older, I revisited them from a feminist perspective and found them to be lacking. But now that I am older, I find myself back at the doorstep of the old story teller again. And this time, I am looking at them with a more discerning eye. I am looking for the lessons that I see in them and pulling those lessons out to transform them into tarot spreads. Spread Versatility

Tonight I did a reading for someone in a poly triad. I used a spread that I also use for those who are trying to decide between two lovers.
