Answers: A Game of Bluffs (not #Tarot)

The answers to my bluffs as posted here are:

  1. I was interviewed by the New York Times.
    • True. I was interviewed for the New York Time last summer while in New York City for the RWA Conference. I even have the article.
  2. I am related to Cole Younger.
    • True. He may or may not be the infamous older Younger boy but he was from Neshua, MO and is in my family tree.
  3. I showed dogs.
    • True. I showed Basenjis.
  4. I have sold poetry to a greeting card company.
    • False. But wouldn’t that be fun?
  5. I was a DJ.
    • True. In college I had my own folk hour show as well as a morning wake up show.
  6. I trained to be a canoeing instructor for the Red Cross.
    • False. This is actually how Cai and I met. We were SUPPOSED to be at an instructor’s course but it turned out to be a beginner’s course. We got stuck together and it’s been like that ever since!
  7. I’ve read Tarot for a police department.
    • False. But I know someone who has.
  8. I’ve dipped my toe in both the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans.
    • True now but false in 2005. Funny how life progresses!
  9. I’ve done darkroom work and developed my own photos.
    • True. I dated several photographers in high school and did alot of darkroom “work”. LOL! I also actually did develop my own photos.
  10. I’ve been on a yacht in the Caribbean.
    • True. My sister captained a 54′ Ketch and I went sailing with her.
  11. I used to do home parties for sewing crafts.
    • True. I was a representative for a company called Creative Circle. Now I do home parties for Tarot
  12. I’ve been on a wagon train.
    • True. In 1976 I went on a Girl Scout Wider Opportunity across North Dakota on a wagon train. It was called “Move ‘Em Out”.
  13. I’ve held a live rattlesnake.
    • False. This is not from lack of wanting though.
  14. I’ve ridden in a train engine on a full-sized train.
    • True! My paternal grandfather was a station agent for the Wabash Line and I got to ride with him from Harlingen to Brownsville (Texas) and back. I was very proud at the age of four to be riding in a choo choo.
  15. I hold a raffle license in the state of Colorado.
    • Was true but now false that I no longer live in Colorado. 😀
  16. I’ve had lunch with Julius Irving.
    • True. I won a trip to the NCAA Final Four in 2010 where I got to go to a luncheon where Dr. J. spoke. He sat at a table close to me so yes, I had lunch with him. We got our pictures taken to and I have that and a signed picture. LOL.
  17. I’m a Plantagenet.
    • True. I am related to Edward Longshanks.No, that is not something to be proud of actually. He was not a nice person.
  18. I have a book of poetry in print.
    • False. I’ve written over 1000 pieces but do not have my own book in print.
  19. I am a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism.
    • False. I know many members and thought about it, but never joined.
  20. I own a hula hoop.
    • True. Three actually. 😀
