Welcome! I’m diving into the world of blogging. I lead an active life as a published romance author and professional Tarot reader. Then there’s my day job.
I will use this blog to share reviews of decks (which I have posted all over the Internet.) This blog will serve as the warehouse for all of my Tarot reviews and also my Tarot podcasts. I do a monthly podcast.
May 2008 Podcast is available now. You can also find me on iTunes.
My Tarot background goes something like this. In 1978, I was a college freshman in Shreveport, LA. A friend of mine did a reading for me and I was fascinated. She ended up giving me a deck of my own and I hated it.
Yep, hated it. The artwork made no sense to me. I couldn’t figure anything out. I gave that deck away. A few years later, another person does a reading for me. Again, I am fascinated. But she doesn’t give me a deck. She tells me get one of my own.
So I went on a hunt for my first deck. Obviously I found it. I started reading for myself and for friends. I don’t remember the first reading I did for money, but the idea of being able to help folks moved me in a way that very few other things have.
Now, some 25 years later, I am the president of The American Tarot Association. I have a thriving online business (and yes, I do pay my taxes on it! My sister is a CPA and keeps me on track.) I write a column for Tarot World magazine. I have reviewed many decks and own nearly a 100 tarot and oracle decks.
I hope you will take a moment to subscribe. I plan to start posting old reviews as well as new reviews. I’ll also post when a new podcast for Tarotscopes is up. You can expect reviews on new and old books (fiction as well as non-fiction) that deal with Tarot. I’ll also promo my novels here but I promise to make it relate to the Tarot.
Leave me a comment and tell me what you would like to see in a Tarot blog!
Hi, I am one of your happy receivers of your newsletters. One thing about blogging is that it has to be at least weekly to build an audience. I would like to see creating spreads, getting accrediation, as well as the usual deck reviews, and the like.
Thanks so much! I’m am going to build up an arsenal of posts so I have things that will show up. Blogspot.com now has a feature where you can future post. This should be very helpful to me when I’m eyes deep in a book. 🙂 Thanks for the great ideas!
If you do a daily or weekly draw, reflect on how real events link to that card and vice-versa (or how that card was just *so* off base).
Oh that’s a grand idea, T!
