This card is one I very much love. It is the Two of Masks from Frank Fradella's Adventure Tarot. He uses Masks in place of Cups which is one of the better interpretations of suits I've seen.
Here we have a man and a woman who are both obviously super heroes. They are removing their masks together. This mutual revealing of true self is what the Two of Masks is all about. It speaks to that moment we all must face in a relationship when we look at the true nature of the other.
Sometimes this is a relationship with ourselves and sometimes it is a relationship with another person. Regardless of whom it is with, this moment of sharing is always a turning point. You either move on or you move away. You can not have this depth of sharing and not be changed for good or bad.
And that is why it is one of the scariest moments in any partnership. What if you show them that inner core that is the most real of all the real yous and they don't like it? What if they decide they can't take you that way? What if they abandon you?
Two of Masks calls us to do that which frightens us. Move further and deeper into a relationship that needs deepening. Take that next step. Take that plunge and see where it leads you. Don't waste your time or theirs by not offering this opportunity of blinding insight.
