Articles and Thoughts on the Tarot

Today's card is the Seven of Masks from the Frank Fradella Adventure Tarot. Here we see a figure manipulating seven masks in the air in front of him. He is expending quite a bit of energy from the looks of things to keep all the various masks up. These masks are from all sorts of culture.

The masks represent the various emotions we all have during a normal day. His energy is being spent to keep the right emotion forward for any given situation. Your question for the day is how much energy to you use up trying to have the "right" emotion? Wouldn't it be easier to just feel rather than take all this time to think about how you should feel?

Consider these words from Chief Joseph when he surrendered to General Howard on October 5, 1877.

"Hear me, my chiefs! I am tired. My heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever."

Don't let your own heart become sick and sad because you are fighting to hold on to something you don't need in your life. Think about what masks you need and what can be let go.
