Today's card is the Queen of Disks from the Frank Fradella Adventure Tarot deck. Here we see a woman with reddish or brown hair. She is holding a large golden disk in front of her that has a pentagram inscribed upon it. The pentagram is a symbol that represents the physical body of man. Her eyes are closed and her hand is pressed to her head. She looks like she is trying to get a message from or to the disk.
Our Queen here is concentrating on her own prosperity and that of those around her. She is aware the prosperity is not about money alone. It is all the things that make us feel secure in our lives. Our family, our possessions, all of those things and money too create our sense of wealth. And so it is for the Queen. She dresses nicely, but always tastefully and in style. You won't find her on the cutting edge of fashion. She likes classic looks.
Often seen as an out-doorsy type, you can find the Queen of Disks in her garden or hiking in the mountains. She watches her money like a hawk, but she buys nice things that please her. She can be depended upon to go the extra mile in all that she does -- work or family. However, she expects the same from those around her. She can be very stubborn and will not take to anything that is strange to her way of thinking. Her own pragmatism may preclude her from being open to those in her life who are different from the norm. She struggles with the lesson of loving people for who they are rather than who she wants them to be.
Are you Queen of your own prosperity or do you allow others to rule you in that area? Do you take control and nurture yourself and others? Who do you let nurture you?
And as Benjamin Disraeli (1804 - 1881) said:
Nurture your mind with great thoughts; to believe in the heroic makes heroes.
