Fabulous Saturday morning to all y’all. Grin! I’m in a great mood because I have a fun place for you to visit. Come along with me as I introduce you to Oracle Speak home of Cat and Mouse. This Tarot team hails from New Zealand and England respectively. You are going to find so much in this blog.

For instance, the weekly affirmations that appear every Monday. They give you a short mantra accompanied by an in-depth blog to help you instill the mantra with meaning.

From August 25, 2008 Tiredness ……. it’s something I battle, will push through, work through …… because there never seems enough time in the day to get everything done so I am making a conscious choice this week …

Affirmation of the Week
(beginning Monday 25 August 2008)

“I GIVE MYSELF THE GIFT OF SLEEP”

Why should this be a gift? On the way to work this morning I snoozed on the train …… and pondered this thought ……. why should sleep be a gift?

Cat and Mouse also share my love of quotes. I’ve mentioned before how much I love quotes. I like the short, pithy insight into how someone else’s mind works. When someone says something in a clever way, it makes me clap my hands and shout with glee (ok sometimes all that’s just inside my head, ok?) They offer lots of quotes. Here is a bit from a Celtic Cross spread they did on a quote.

From July 23, 2008*We are all longing to go home to some place we have never been – a place half-remembered and half-envisioned we can only catch glimpses of from time to time. Community. Somewhere, there are people to whom we can speak with passion without having the words catch in our throats ………….. Starhawk*

I love poems and quotes but few have the strong emotional effect that this one from the weekly SoulCollage newsletter had on me. As I sat and reflected on the words and why I should feel so connected to them I realised how perfectly they described some of the cards in my monthly CC.

Fey 4 Wands …………. in position 3, the root cause, the unconscious.

The Fey are decorating the tree in readiness for a celebration and the bells and lights will guide and welcome others as they return to this place called home.

An unconscious collective desire to find one’s place of belonging …….. a place where you’re approved of, loved for who you are , recognised and accepted.

I’m seeing the tree as the self and the spiritual lesson the one we all know so well. Love thyself ………….. give yourself the gift of recognition and acceptance , celebrate who you are and invite the world to come and join in the party.

You really do want to read the whole post. It’s amazing how the author (this one was by Cat) reaches down to offer up stark vulnerability and honesty.

And Mouse speaks so eloquently. She claims to be timid, but I find her posts full of courage because she is so there in the moment. That’s hard to do. Here she discusses the 7 of Wands from the Merryday Tarot.

From March 26, 2008I find that the 7 wands in the Merryday Tarot has given me much pause for thought lately, the words on the card of *Defense, Confrontation* are certainly apt! I have found myself to be so defensive, too defensive at times. In fact, I believe it to be a reaction borne from childhood and one that is now outmoded – time to dust it off, examine its beginnings and, very probably, even hopefully, toss it to one side. How can you open your heart if there is fear still remaining?

I think you will truly enjoy this blog of two dear friends separated by an ocean. At first I assumed they were lovers. Grin. That’s me in a nutshell–always looking for romance. So stop by Oracle Speaks and tell them Arwen sent you!

Speaking of romance, Marilu Mann’s 2nd release came out Wednesday this past week. Check out Sapphire Tease at Ellora’s Cave if you like passionate, erotic romance. It’s a novella that we are very proud of!
