May 2009 Tarotscopes

So here we are at May again. For those of you who are new, this May marks my 2nd anniversary of doing these Tarotscope podcasts. I have so enjoyed doing them for y’all. I hope you have gained something from them.

I have taken on a new job. Yes, I know. Another hat for Arwen! This one bears the title of Professional Joy Seeker. That’s right, y’all! I’m going to be a PJS! For the past few months I’ve been focusing on expanding myself in the area of joy. I think joy is one of those things we miss because we have come to some unfair expectation that joy has to be GINORMOUS.

Right? But what if we are missing the point? What if joy comes in all sizes? In the feel of a child’s butterfly kiss against our cheek? In the snippet of a mockingbird’s cheerful song? In the feel of our loved one’s hand in ours.

What if joy sneaks in and our of our lives and we keep missing it?

Well I am not going to miss it any more! I proclaim myself to be a Professional Joy Seeker and I invite you all to join in with me. If you follow me on Twitter, then you may be familiar with this phrase–“Seek joy, y’all!” I try to make it a point to remind folks every day that we must look for joy in all places.

So enJOY this month’s Tarotscopes. As always, you bring me joy when you leave me comments. 🙂 So be a joy bringer and a joy seeker! Let me know how your April was and what you think of May!

What if your life’s purpose were simply “Seek Joy”? Would you have the courage? How hard is it to release the negativity? Seek joy, y’all!

Go to the May Tarotscopes podcast. Do not forget to let me know what you think!

  1. Professional Joy Seeker! What a great job title! I think if more people made it a practice to seek joy, there would be more joy created in the world. Heaven knows I needed it this month. However, I did get my own tarot domain up and running, the sun is shining and my cup of coffee is within reach, so that’s my joy of the day! 🙂

  3. so I went back and listened to May’s tarotscope, and at first I didn’t think it really applied. But then I go to thinking about it.

I have been writing the story of my life at my blog, and I’m up to the turbulent teenage years. Towards the end of the month, I wrote about my stepfather, and really released a lot of the hurt and anger I’ve harbored for years.

Granted, I’m still not entirely over it, but in a way, I do feel like I returned to the scene of the crime and in doing so, gave myself an outlet that I’ve needed. I nurtured myself by reaching out to the wilds of the internet.

    1. Oh very very very good, Shana-Marie. Releasing that emotion is a good thing. I am glad you feel nurtured. HUGS! Thanks for the May update. I so appreciate that.
